🧾 Job Overview
Manniken Engineering (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join its mining operations team at Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling underground diesel equipment in a mechanised mining environment.
🛠 Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on underground diesel equipment

Conduct major overhauls, troubleshooting, and diagnostics

Overhaul engines, transmissions, differentials, final drives, and hydraulic systems

Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs

Ensure strict compliance with mining health and safety regulations
-
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical faults
✅ Minimum Requirements
-
Trade Test Certificate (Diesel Mechanic)

Grade 12 qualification
-
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in underground mechanised mining

Experience with Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) such as GHH, AARD, and Fermel
-
No criminal record
-
Physically fit and able to pass a medical assessment
-
Willingness to relocate if required
