Senior Patrolperson (C1) Job Vacancy – Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine
Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine (SBPM) is currently recruiting Senior Patrolpersons (C1) for its Protection Services Department. This is a permanent security job opportunity based in the Limpopo and North West Provinces of South Africa.
Job Purpose
The Senior Patrolperson will be responsible for implementing and enforcing security procedures to protect employees, assets, and operations at Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine. The role includes patrol duties, emergency response, investigation support, and high-risk security operations.
Key Responsibilities

Enforce security policies, procedures, and legislative standards

Conduct patrols, checkpoint duties, searches, and roadblocks

Respond to emergency situations and security incidents

Support investigation activities and armed response operations

Identify and manage operational security risks
-
Assist with scheduling and administration of patrol staff
-
Ensure security tasks meet required quality and compliance standards
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
-
National Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Security Management
-
National Diploma in Security Management (advantageous)
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a security environment

PSIRA Grade B registration
-
Firearm competency and psychometric assessment
-
Valid driver’s license (Code 08 / 10 / 14)

Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)

Clean criminal record and successful polygraph test

Computer literacy

Ability to operate in high-risk and emergency situations
